P4 Companies seecrime.com Multi-city crime intelligence Back to the map

About seecrime.com

A P4 Companies product.

seecrime.com maps reported crime and 311 service requests across 41 US and Canadian cities, so residents, businesses, and security teams can see what is actually being reported near a place they care about.

It is built and operated by P4 Companies, which provides executive protection and corporate physical-security services. The same situational-awareness work we do for protective operations is what this tool does at neighbourhood scale.

Where the data comes from

Every incident on the map is a public record published by a city government — through open-data portals such as Socrata, ArcGIS, and CKAN, and in one case (Evanston, IL) through a daily PDF from the police department. We fetch each city on its own schedule, normalise the fields, geocode what needs geocoding, and store it.

We do not buy data, we do not scrape private sources, and we do not add records of our own. When a city publishes nothing for a field — no arrest flag, no time of day — we show it as unavailable rather than as a zero, because a fabricated zero is worse than an honest gap.

What we try to get right

What this is not

It is not a prediction, not a safety guarantee, and not a screening tool. Using it to make housing, employment, credit, or insurance decisions about a person is prohibited by our terms.

Get in touch

Coverage requests, data questions, and enterprise enquiries all go to the same place — see contact. Live data freshness per city is at /status, and the developer API is documented at /developers.
